‘Once Upon a Time’ season 2 spoilers: An episode all about the Evil Queen?
“Once Upon a Time” has shown a willingness over the past season and a half to show us several different sides to Lana Parrilla’s Evil Queen, including some moments during season 2 where she has almost come across as sympathetic. After all, isn’t it easy to understand why someone who was neglected by Storybrooke and accused of killing Archie would have a giant chip on her shoulder?
However, it seems at least possible that Regina could be embracing her most-evil roots again considering what we now know for sure is coming up. In a new post on his Twitter account, executive producer Adam Horowitz announced that the title for the upcoming 20th episode of the season is going to be “The Evil Queen.” There are ultimately two different ways to look at this:
1. A full account of how Regina managed to turn so evil following Rumpelstiltskin’s teaching, and some of her early days after she managed to seize power.
2. More backstory on Cora, who seems to be the only woman out there who is more evil than the currently-titled Evil Queen is.
Since we do identify with Regina so heavily as the Evil Queen, we have a hard time thinking that this episode is about anyone else. Then again, the show does have a knack for throwing curveballs, as the title for the upcoming March 3 episode, “The Queen Is Dead,” is actually talking about Snow White’s mother Queen Ava rather than any of the ladies that we have already come to know.
What do you think about this title, and what sort of story do you want to see unfold for the Queen Regina moving forward on the show? If you want to see what Jennifer Morrison had to say about Emma and Neal’s future on the show, you can do so by heading on over to the link here.
