‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 6 spoilers: Melissa Rauch talks Penny, Raj, and more

“The Big Bang Theory” is starting to really take some leaps forward with some of its characters, and we saw one such example of this very thing recently with Raj getting a coffee date with none other than Lucy (Kate Micucci). While it is unclear if this relationship will last forever, it does at least mark a major change for a character who by and large to this point has really just been identified with either being lonely and/or cowardly.

So what can we say for sure is coming up for Kunal Nayyar? One of his co-star in Melissa Rauch spoke recently to TVLine’s “Spoiler Alert,” and during the video she announced that at one point during this storyline, Raj will become so depressed over something that he decides to not even leave his house. Could it be his inability to talk with women that is holding him back? Considering that this is an elephant in every room that he walks into, we have to say that this is very much a possibility.

As for some other storylines, Rauch teased that Penny is going to be getting an acting gig on the stage, and what may surprise you is that she is not necessarily as horrible of an actress as you would imagine. As for the subject of whether or not her character of Bernadette would ever get pregnant, Rauch was a little bit cagey … though she did admit that despite Bernie’s hatred of children, this is something that will probably still be addressed at some point down the road.
