‘Once Upon a Time’ season 2, episode 14 preview: The origins of the dagger plan
So why is hunting down the dagger so important for Hook, Regina, and Cora on “Once Upon a Time”? Well, we now know based on the sneak peek from Sunday night’s new episode “Manhattan.”
With Rumpelstiltskin in New York City with Emma, it certainly makes a great deal of sense that the pirate captain to want to hunt him down and kill him there. After all, he is no longer in a place that is impacted by magic, and thus he is far more vulnerable than he would be back in Storybrooke. What better and easier way is there for Hook to get his vengeance?
Unfortunately, Regina and Cora both quickly point out to Hook that there is a major flaw in his plan: they have no idea where Rumple is heading with Emma and Henry, and even if they did, how are you going to be able to get away with killing someone with a sword (or a hook) in the middle of the street? Prisons in real life are far worse than anything that is at the Storybrooke Jail.
This is where the plan to find Rumpelstiltskin’s enchanted dagger is born. This is the one way in which the characters can ensure that they can kill him within the city limits, and without him around they can look for it far easier than they would otherwise be able to. Rumple is far too power-hungry to leave Storybrooke forever, and therefore it is not going to be too hard to find a way to ambush them.
What do you think is going to happen with this plan, and are you still shocked that Regina is helping out these two to begin with? If you want to see what happens next with this search, you can do so over at the link here.
