‘Dexter’ season 8 spoilers: More details on ‘Walking Dead’ alum’s role
As we reported recently, former “Walking Dead” actor Nick Gomez is going to be playing a role on “Dexter” season 8, and we speculated at the time that it would be the part of hitman Javier Guzman, who is currently set to appear in the first two episodes of the season (presumably in the same sort of role we have seen for many other mini-villains over the years).
Now, we have a few more details about the role, including some confirmation that Gomez is indeed going to be taking on this character. According to a new report from TVLine, Guzman, who goes by the nickname of El Sapo (otherwise known as the Toad, hardly the most flattering nickname ever), is going to become involved in the story when Deb (Jennifer Carpenter) gets between him and someone who is meant to be his target. Can you imagine this ending badly? We sure can.
Judging by the episode count for the character, the assumption that you always make with “Dexter” is that this character will be one that ends up on the table … but who knows? When you remember that there will have been at least some sort of passage of time following the finale and leading up to the season premiere airing on June 30, he may have adopted a new sort of code thanks to what Hannah McKay told him last season. Then again, he could also help to set him up so that Deb can put him behind bars.
