‘Justified’ season 4 spoilers: Will Johnny learn Colton’s secret about Ellen May?
Colton has been a breath of fresh air on season 4 of “Justified” – his crazy drug fueled decisions seem to be getting him deeper and deeper into trouble, yet he’s been able to escape detection for the most part, just by the skin of his teeth. How long will Colton really be able to ride this wave of secrecy for before Boyd and Ava find out what really happened?
Shelby has proven that he’s not in Boyd’s pocket in the last episode of “Justified” in more ways then one. Not only did he try to have Boyd arrested, but he is also hiding Ellen May in his apartment, someone that Colton has been desperately trying to find to finish the job. Colton has gotten himself into even deeper trouble now that he’s smacked around one of Ava’s girls who knows that Ellen May has been lost. With every mistake it seems that more and more people are finding out that Ellen May is still out there, so it’s only a matter of time before Boyd and Ava find out too.
The one person that is suspecting that there’s something off with Colton is Johnny, the one person Boyd really can’t trust, but does more then almost anyone. After Terry (the girl Colton smacked around) tells Johnny that it was a regular named Max who hit her and keeps Colton’s secret safe, Johnny and Colton pay Max a visit and Colton takes things a few steps too far. Will Johnny be the one to learn all of Colton’s secrets? Executive producer Graham Yost spoke to Entertainment Weekly about this very subject and said that what happened at Max’s house may come back to bite him in regards to Johnny. He said: “Yes. Not Max in particular, but just the fact that he did that and Johnny was there for that — Johnny could sense there was something off.”
