‘The X Factor’ USA notes: Tate Stevens, Demi Lovato ready new singles
Just in case you thought Tate Stevens was only going to launch his music career with one single, think again: the reigning champion of “The X Factor” USA has just announced his plans to announce his catalog with another song … one that is actually being sent out to radio rather than just appearing in a music video for Pepsi during the Grammys.
This track carries with it the title of “Power of a Love Song,” which is certainly something appropriate to the man and the singer that he presented himself as while on the show. Here’s to thinking that it is something softer, more emotional, and different than what is presently on country radio. If there is one criticism that is out there for the Pepsi song “Holler If You’re With Me,” it’s that most of the lyrical content is stuff, including “honeys” and “red solo cups,” that is featured prominently in other country songs.
This song will start looking for adds on country radio March 11, which primes it perfectly for a lengthy run in the summer.
Speaking of new music, how about this teaser from Demi Lovato? One week before Tate’s song goes for adds, Demi’s new single “Heart Attack” will be in stores. There are a few seconds of it sampled in the video below, and it already has us completely sold on what could be coming up next. We like that there is an element of the electronica sound that was in “Unbroken” at times, but it also touches on some of her rock roots from earlier albums.
Demi’s full CBS will be available at some point later this year.
