ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 2, episode 14 preview: First video of Scott Foley

Olivia Pope has just had her heart completely smashed into the ground courtesy of Fitz opting to be with Mellie over her … so where does she go next? Ten months pass, and then Thursday night’s new episode of “Scandal” season 2 begins. While there will still be some pretty substantial scars from this past relationship without a doubt, she will be in at least a better position to actually move forward.

With that, enter Scott Foley! The former “True Blood” and “Grey’s Anatomy” star is set to kick off a multi-episode arc this week as a man from the Pentagon that quickly develops some feelings for Kerry Washington’s character, and based on what we are hearing at this very moment, it is indeed mutual. The two have heat, and it’s possible that seeing Olivia move on here could actually be just what President Grant really needs to realize what he is missing out on. (Then again, it’s much more complicated than that given that if he is with Olivia, he likely ends up missing out on all sorts of opportunities to advance his career politically and keep his approval ratings up.)

For those of you interested more in the episodic portion of the show, the gladiators will also waste little to no time in picking up some new clients. This ensures that there will continue to be action right away, even though it may take a few weeks to crescendo to where it was with Verna’s death and Fitz being the one to pull the plug.
