‘Once Upon a Time’ season 2 spoilers: Eion Bailey’s return as August will be…
If there is one enormous bee in our bonnet when it comes to “Once Upon a Time” season 2, it is the way in which the show has handled August W. Booth. Eion Bailey’s character was a huge component of the second half of season 1, but he somehow managed to disappear into oblivion after transforming back into wooden form during the finale.
Thus far, the only appearance of the character at all occurred during a flashback in “Tallahassee,” as it was revealed that he is really the responsible party for making sure that Neal Cassady allowed Emma Swan to find her true calling in Storybrooke later on. However, that will officially change soon.
According to Entertainment Weekly, August will return during the 18th episode of the season entitled “Selfless, Brave, and True,” which was expected given what the title is a reference to and the fact that Bailey has been spotted around the set over the course of the past several weeks. This hour should help to explain just what the character has been up to as of late, and hopefully touch on even more of his own backstory with Emma and some of his adventures around the world since being sent there from the fairy tale world.
Sadly, there is no word on whether or not this will be Bailey’s only appearance on the rest of the season, but given that he was recently cast in a new TNT pilot, his time could be limited ultimately if that is picked up to series. (Then again, we also thought the same thing last year about Emilie de Ravin, but her pilot was not picked up and she is now a regular.)

Eion’s pilot wasn’t picked up actually so hopefully that means he’d be in more episodes!
