‘How I Met Your Mother’ season 8, episode 16 preview: Fear Abby Elliot

If you thought that learning how Ted and Jeanette first got together on “How I Met Your Mother” was somewhat terrifying, just wait until you see what she is going to be up to next. This upcoming episode (airing ironically a day before Valentine’s Day) is entitled “Bad Crazy” for a reason, as it features even more of an ugly side to Abby Elliot’s character. She screams, she breaks things for no reason, and she’s unafraid to start confrontations with people she doesn’t even know. For a mild-mannered Ted who tried to at first overlook all of her personality defects, this is going to create an enormous problem.

So how does Ted choose to handle this? Really, in the only way that he knows how while still fearing for his safety: trying to lock her out of his house. We have a look at the first promo below, and it features the ever-so-entertaining sight of both Barney and Marshall screaming like little girls when they see her at the door.

Will this story be strictly about Ted? Far from it. We are going to start to see what happens when Barney and Robin have their first Valentine’s Day as an engaged couple, and Lily is going to continue trying to figure out what she wants to do with the rest of her life (while still dealing with the ever-so-sappy man that is her husband).

One thing we can be sure of? Even if Ted does want Jeanette out of his life, this is not going to be a particularly easy thing for him to accomplish.
