‘How I Met Your Mother’ season 8: Tim Hortons is loving Robin Sparkles
If there is one clear winner when it comes to Monday night’s “How I Met Your Mother” episode “P.S. I Love You” not named Barney Stinson, it’s clearly Tim Hortons. The popular Canadian cafe and bake shop was featured prominently in the story as Neil Patrick Harris’ character used an establishment to try and interview ex-girlfriends of Robin’s all about who her possible “obsession” was, with many of their donuts actually serving as bribes in order to get the information that he needed.
As you may have imagined, it did not take too long at all for Tim Hortons to issue a response to the episode, and it is also pretty safe to say that they were thrilled with all of the extra advertising. As a matter of fact, they decided to have a little bit of fun to go along with it.
In a post on their Twitter account Tuesday, the company showed off a real-life version of “The Priestly”: a creation that was supposedly named after actor Jason Priestley on the show. They somehow actually managed to put a Timbit (their version of donut holes) inside of a jelly-filled donut, and then of course spiffed it up rather nice for the cameras.
If there was any one person who was especially thrilled about seeing this fictional creation in real life, it was Priestley himself. After all, he posted the following message on his Twitter after seeing it:
“Thank you Tim Hotron’s!!! This is the proudest day of my life!!! A doughnut maned after me at Timmie’s?? #bestdayever“
Ultimately, it’s too bad we don’t imagine these being available in stores anytime soon.
What do you think: would you actually want to order a donut called The Priestley at any point? If you want to read our full review of “P.S. I Love You,” you can do so over here.
