‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 6 spoilers: How Raj gets over dating woes
If there is one thing that we have learned about “The Big Bang Theory” over the course of the past six seasons, it is that Kunal Nayyar’s character of Raj is someone who has a rather large heart. Unfortunately, he just has not been able to find a way to show it when it comes to dealing with women. A good many of his girlfriends have been of the imaginary variety, and this includes one particularly embarrassing occasion that featured him fantasizing over Siri, the woman in his iPhone.
However, that is going to change soon with the arrival of former “Scrubs” star Kate Micucci as a new love interest. We knew that there was potential here for something interesting to happen between the two characters, but there was one burning question: how in the world is he going to get over the whole “talking” problem?
Luckily, we now have an answer. According to a new report from Entertainment Weekly, we are going to be seeing Kunal Nayyar’s character have his first date with Micucci’s character of Lucy inside of a library … this way, the two have to find some other ways to communicate other than talking. It looks as though this is a relationship that will be taken slow (if it even happens), and the producers may wait to know viewers’ response to the character before figuring out whether or not she is right for Raj in the long-term.
Personally, this idea is a breath of fresh air, mostly because our fear was that the writers were just going to make Micucci sing like she does in many of her other shows.
Do you think that this strategy for Raj could really end up working for him? Be sure to share your thoughts below, and you can visit the link here to find out what Super Bowl XLVII star is making an appearance on “The Big Bang Theory” later this season.
