‘True Blood’ season 6 spoilers: A title change and new recurring roles
We always try to say when posting episode titles for shows that things can often change over time as the writing process evolves and scenes are filmed; and with that in mind, we have some changes to share now when it comes to the upcoming third episode of “True Blood” season 6.
As you may recall, the original title for this hour was going to be “Hard Rock Times,” which was seemingly a solid reference to a song from The Eels. Now, SpoilerTV is reporting that the title for this episode is now going to be “Abducted,” which could be in reference to a song from Cults (though there are so many tunes out there with a similar title that it is hard to really know for sure).
In addition to that, there are a few details creeping in about a pair of recurring characters who we will be meeting for the first time during the episode. One in Dr. Overlark is a tough-as-nails 50-year old adviser to vampire-hating Louisiana Governor Burrell; meanwhile, the other is a university science professor around the same age named Hido Takahashi. It is not as clear as to why he is involved in the world of vampires and werewolves at the moment.
There still is no confirmed premiere date for “True Blood” season 6 at the moment, but based on all of the evidence of filming along with the show’s past history, we’re likely looking at a start in mid-June. This would make even more sense when you consider that this will be around the time that “Game of Thrones” wraps up its third season.
