‘The X Factor’ USA notes: Emblem3’s Drew, Carly Rose Sonenclar, CeCe Frey

Emblem3For this post-Super Bowl edition of “The X Factor” USA notes, we are going to get to a myriad of reactions from some former contestants of the show to both Jennifer Hudson’s “America the Beautiful” performance with Sandy Hook Elementary School along with Beyonce’s halftime show. But first (to quote Julie Chen from “Big Brother”), we’re going to kick things off here with a new song courtesy of Emblem3 member Drew Chadwick.

In the video below, you can see a very-shirtless Drew (which seems to be his favorite state of dress) performing the jam “Stranger” on the guitar. We still don’t entirely get why Simon Cowell didn’t allow these guys to play instruments while on the show, since this really shows off his musicality in addition to his songwriting skills. The lyrical content here is definitely not for everyone, but if you are a fan of all things Emblem3, you are sure to love this new addition to the group’s catalogue of original music.

CeCe FreySuper Bowl reactions – Now, let’s get to some of those reactions! It only seems fair to start with the image to the left from CeCe Frey, who claims that this was the response to her watching the performance with Beyonce for the first time.

Now, here are some tweets from some of the other “X Factor” alumni who chose to speak out about the performances.

Carly Rose Sonenclar – “Wow! @AlyciaKeys @IAmJHud & Sandy Hook Elementary! What an incredible start to #SB47!!”

Fifth Harmony’s Camila Cabello – “i just wanna keep talking about beyonce lol”

Diamond White – “Looks like beyonce had a football game at her concert today….. That’s basically what she did to the SuperBowl. She took over.”

Paige Thomas – “I can’t wait for queen B to take over the Super Bowl :))”

Chris Rene – “Beyonce’s Performance was Rad!!!!!!”

Josh Krajcik – “Ok. @beyonce just kicked complete a**”

Demi Lovato – “Y’all can keep watching the game but I think it’s safe to say Beyonce just won the Super Bowl.”

We’re still pretty surprised that football fan Tate Stevens didn’t chime in with some thoughts here, especially with him premiering “Holler If You’re With Me” tomorrow, but maybe he was too involved with watching the game to pay attention to his Twitter.

If you want to listen to Carly Rose’s new “After Tonight” / “I Knew You Were Trouble” mash-up, you can do so over at the link here.
