‘House of Lies’ season 2, episode 4 preview: Matt Damon comes to town (video)
On the February 10 episode of “House of Lies,” we are going to be seeing Marty and the rest of the gang back in their familiar setting, and also preparing for a brand-new visitor who carries with him quite a bit of prestige: Matt Damon. Unlike “30 Rock” (where he played an airline pilot named Carol and also a love interest for Liz Lemon), the Oscar-winning actor here is actually going to be playing himself.
As you would expect, nobody within these walls is going to know just how to handle an A-list star, and it leads to them staging a mass freakout. There is apparently a conception that Damon is either a diva or a hippie who lives in a yurt, and so the conflicting ideologies as to how to deal with him is going to hopefully lead to some hilarity.
Damon’s arrival on the show comes at a pretty interesting time, as Marty had just finally managed to land his first major player in the casino business after Pincus turned down his idea of a business venture that leveraged the world of social media to make more money from within a casino. You would think that he would be spending his time trying to ensure that this expensive plan ended up being a success, but if you are going to be side-tracked by anything, we do have to say that a major Hollywood star is a pretty darn good excuse.
