NBC’s ‘The Voice’ season 4 spoilers: Adam Levine, Hillary Scott to team up
Who would have imagined that Adam Levine would be working with a country artist on “The Voice” season 4, especially while the country coach in Blake Shelton chose someone a little bit more in the adult-contemporary market in Sheryl Crow? As strange as it sounds, this is precisely what is going down behind the scenes in the land of swivel chairs.
On Friday, “Access Hollywood” confirmed via Adam Levine that it is none other than Hillary Scott of Lady Antebellum that is going to be his adviser for the battle rounds stage of the competition, and it also turns out that the woman behind “Need You Now” (otherwise known as that song we heard at awards shows every month for a year solid) has a bit of a musical history with the Maroon 5 frontman:
“I was so happy that Hillary was interested in coming on The Voice to mentor my team … Maroon 5 and I recorded a song with her for our last studio album and we had a great time collaborating in the studio.”
“She is an incredible performer and artist. I know my team will be able to learn a lot from her.”
At the moment, it is not clear just who new coaches Shakira and Usher will be working with, but considering their enormous star power, we have to imagine that either one of them has the potential to bring in a very famous friend to lend a helping hand.
The new season of “The Voice” is going to premiere on NBC Monday, March 25, and considering how badly its network is nosediving in the ratings without it on the air (new series “Do No Harm” premiered Thursday to under a 1.0 rating in the 18-49 demographic), they certainly could not be more excited.

You made a big mistake. The mentors for Usher and Shakira have already been announced. Usher has Pharell Williams and Shakira has Joel Madden.
