‘Once Upon a Time’ season 2 spoilers: Ready for a flashback episode?
Sometimes, executive producers really do listen to fans. We know that a good many supporters out there of “Once Upon a Time” have been clamoring to see some sort of episode that traces back to the origins of some of their favorite characters; and now, it appears as though we are finally going to have just that.
Multiple sources have confirmed to us that the upcoming 17th episode of season 2 is going to be entitled “Welcome to Storybrooke,” and given the recent announcement that Jamie Dorman is going to be coming back for an episode as Sheriff Graham, it is pretty easy for us to assume one thing: this will be an episode that helps to chronicle some of the early days of these fairytale characters in the tiny Maine town.
Hopefully, we are going to end up seeing as a result of this some more information as to just how Snow White became Mary Margaret, or how Jiminy Cricket became Archie. Were these identities created for them by the Evil Queen as a result of the curse, and were the friendships predetermined as a part of this. There is an interesting issue of sovereignty that may be discussed in here, and hopefully will since we have to believe that these characters are certainly in a different place now with Emma in their lives than they were back when she first entered the town as an outsider during the pilot. They’ve also become rather quick to trust her, especially since there were decades that passed in the time it took for her to arrive.
Do you think that a flashback episode is a cool idea if this is what the title is suggesting … or do you actually prefer there to be an air of mystery when it comes to how some of these “Once Upon a Time” characters came to find their new identities?
