‘Mad Men’ season 6: Elisabeth Moss calls end of series ’emotional’

If you have been an avid watcher of “Mad Men” for the past 5 seasons then you’re surly excited about season 6 coming back to AMC in April, but when you realize that there is only 20 episodes left of the entire series it leaves us with a sad feeling in the pit of our stomach.

As it turns out we are not the only ones feeling emotional about the end of “Mad Men” as Elisabeth Moss, who plays Peggy Olson on the series, is also very emotional about the series coming to an end. In a new interview with Access Hollywood, the actress talked about how she feels about there only being two season left of “Mad Men”.  She said:

“We’re halfway through the [sixth] season. It’s crazy… and we’re gearing up for the end, really. We’ve got 20 episodes left to film of Mad Men in its entirety. It’s very emotional, obviously. It’s something that you can’t almost – it doesn’t feel real that we’re not going be doing it anymore, but at the same time, it’s a little too soon to start talking about that. There’s a lot of work to be done. We’re not quite there yet, but this has been one of the greatest experiences of my life, that show. So it’s gonna be a real end of a journey.”

We are excited to see what Matthew Weiner has planned for Peggy this season now that she is no longer working with Don Draper at SCDP – Will she become a threat to him now that she is working for the competition?  Can their relationship find a way to survive Peggy moving on?   “Mad Men” season 6 will be back to AMC on April 7th, but if you are still hungry for more scoop then be sure to hear some of Moss’ thoughts on her character by heading on over to the link here.
