‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 4 spoilers: Is Ian Somerhalder’s Damon trapped?
Want to take a look ahead on “The Vampire Diaries” season 4? We already know that “Into the Wild” (airing a week from Thursday) is going to take many of the characters to a tiny island off the coast of Nova Scotia; and based on what we are hearing now, a pair of vampires are going to end up being left there for a time.
The evidence of this very thing comes to us courtesy of “Stand By Me,” which is the 15th episode of the season slated to air near the end of next month. This hour will feature Elena and Damon separated again, and it will also give Paul Wesley an opportunity to actually work alongside his real-life wife Torrey DeVitto for a few scenes:
“When Stefan (Paul Wesley) arrives back in Mystic Falls with Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen), Caroline (Candice Accola) is immediately worried about Elena’s state of mind. Stefan reaches out to Dr. Fell (guest star Torrey DeVitto) and Matt (Zach Roerig) for help. Still on the island, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) relays somber news to Rebekah (Claire Holt), and is surprised at her reaction. Together, Damon and Rebekah learn an unexpected bit of recent history from Vaughn (guest star Charlie Bewley). Everyone is horrified when Bonnie reveals the rest of Shane’s (guest star David Alpay) plan. Finally, after Damon does his best to help her, Elena comes up with a plan of her own.”
The one thing we are curious about is just how Damon and Elena are really having many chances to communicate considering what his present location is. After all, is it really that possible for him to have great cell phone signal on a remote island? If so, his phone bill’s going to be through the roof! (Luckily, he does have plenty of time to start paying it off.)
