‘The Bachelor’ spoilers: Is Sean Lowe suitor Tierra LiCause really this ‘terrible’?
“The Bachelor” is desperate to have a villain this season, and based on the latest promo that the show has unveiled for Monday night’s all-new episode, they really want Tierra LiCausi to be that girl. How else do you try to justify the show’s description of her as “Tierrable”?
Let’s try to figure out what exactly producers are up to here. Is Tierra competitive? Definitely, and she is savvy enough to go just what is going to get her time with Sean Lowe, and what will have her fade into the background. This does not exactly make her likable, but this is the same sort of strategy that we saw both Michelle Money and Courtney Robertson use on each of their past seasons: do anything they can to be noticed, and know when to amp up the drama and when to be sincere. Courtney had turned it into an art form, whereas Michelle was more inconsistent.
Unfortunately for Tierra, she’s falling into more of the latter camp by getting emotional and angry during what are supposed to be happy occasions in group dates. Courtney was better at getting attention from her man, and in a more positive way; meanwhile, Tierra could just be creating the perception that she is all about drama rather than any substance.
While this behavior is making it clear to us that she is not someone we want to root for, this doesn’t make her a horrible person or even “terrible” as the promo suggests. It’s a competition, and everyone has a different strategy. Remember when Michelle came across horribly on Brad Womack’s season, and it actually turned out on “Bachelor Pad” that she was a pretty sweet person? That experience taught us to never completely judge anything we’ve seen on TV, especially since there have also been people edited to be nice on this show when they are not necessarily the case outside of it.
So what do you think about Tierra’s antics thus far? We want to hear from you, and be sure to also click here to find out some more (spoiler-y) details from next week’s episode.
