‘The X Factor’ USA notes: Carly Rose Sonenclar, Fifth Harmony, Nicole Scherzinger

Carly announced on her Twitter this week that at 7:30 p.m. Eastern time on February 1, she and her brother Russ (who you may remember briefly from some of the rehearsal packages from the show) are going to be on hand to debut her latest cover video. Not only that, but they will also be answering questions live from fans, and the top five tippers for the show will receive Twitter shoutouts as well as an autographed photo. A portion of the proceeds from the show will be going to the Starlight Children’s Foundation.

The Fifth Harmony battle continues – Remember how we told you that Fifth Harmony was going to face some serious competition from Adam Lambert in the new PopDust poll for Reality TV’s Greatest Music Star of All Time? Well, they’ve made it to the final round of the contest … and they are now in the thick of a showdown with Adam.
Be sure to click on the link above if you want to vote, and the ladies have been campaigning for this hard over the past several days. While there is no real tangible prize here for the winner, it is a testament to the size of their fanbase. Plus, it keeps them engaged with their audience while the wait continues for new music.
Nicole Scherzinger news – While Nicole was not particularly well-received on the American show in 2011, both we and the entire British public loved her overseas last fall. So will she come back? Maybe, but the problem is that this conversation has yet to happen. Here is what the Pussycat Doll had to say on the subject in an interview with Kiss FM:
“I don’t know [if I’ll be back]. We haven’t had the conversation yet – they’ve got to ask me … I had the best time. It was one of the best years I’ve ever had. I didn’t know how much I’d fall in love with being here and the people – it’s awesome.”

see, i was all for everyone’s views as it pertained to genre of music. not everyone likes the same type of music and each individual is entitled to that choice. but outright saying fifth harmony sucks and is out of the league of carly, who was also called ugly is just rude and plain stupid. THE FACTS are each individual girl in fifth harmony has a beautiful voice. Some of which have higher ranges than others- via dinah and ally who can hit whistle notes. camilla- the unique melt your heart voice. lauren- husky sensual makes u get all hot with those eyes voice. normani- the soft and sassy voice. on the other hand we have carly the teen prodigy who can make almost any song her own and sound good. ALL of them are gorgeous in my opinion (though I’ll just say carly is cute because it’s kinda pedo for my age to go there lol) They all have moments when they excel, and they all have moments that aren’t to well. So do not go there. Do not judge the careers of these contestants that have yet to take off because you do not know how the public will respond.
Just love who you love and be grateful that you get to hear the angelic melodies they can provide to ours ears. There’s no need to bash others, just praise who you like

hey aimee i was at the parade too! it was amazing i got there so early to make sure id get a good spot, i think like 1000 ppl or more showed up though, it seemed like there were sooo many ppl there. im glad i made the trip too. and ur right she did look pretty, shes even more beautiful in person, and her speech was so sweet i melted. i got to meet her friends that actually know her from school, so cool! i wanted to ask her for her autograph but i was so nervous to approach her lol. love you carly!

I was at carlys parade.It was very nice for a small town. Carly looked really pretty and was very happy and excitied about the whole thing. It was nice to see the she has not been jaded by being seen by millions and really was enjoying herself. She was also very open with her fans allowing autographs and pictures for all who asked.I would say about 500 people showed up and I felt good that I made the trip

I’m sick of hearing people saying that Carly doesn’t deserve to be successful because her family is rich. What about Lauren from 5H? She goes to a private school that costs 20K a year. I guess her family is well off if they can afford this kind of expense. So, I guess Lauren doesn’t deserve success either since her parents are rich…

Carly Rose…..beautiful voice in a completely different league, not just for her age but for any age. Also has a very huge an base already who cares where she’s from, she seemed pretty cool and down-to-earth to me even Simon said she was a cool girl, claiming that many girls her age are quite annoying but that she’s very cool. And, for the record, she wasn’t mean to Bea, they are friends and communicate regularly. Sorry Sharon. I can’t just let Alex say sh*t about Fifth Harmony. Jesus I am catching up on Fifth Harmony news and I’m reading all these horrible comments about the girls. I have had it. First off, Carly Rose has a great voice for her age but she spent so much time on broadway and wants a recording career that by the time she’s 23 she won’t have a voice because she’ll have overused it. Remember LA Reid said she oversings. Secondly she’s not that pretty. Carly has a big nose. And she has this extra skin on the top of her nose that extends to the insides of her eyes. Its so prominent on tv and in her photos. It sticks out of her face. Carly doesn’t deserved to be mentioned with the bigger stars out there because she’s a rich girl. A stuck up one that was mean to Beatrice Miller that’s why Lauren Jauregui doesn’t like her.

Sharon, you are right. As a Tate Stevens fan, I was taken aback by Carly Rose’s fans and their reaction to Tate’s win. They always say he doesn’t deserve it or carly got cheated. It’s awful that they’ve been posting hateful things on youtube, on here, or on twitter. And we are not the ones saying awful things to her. It’s her fans taking cheap shots at Tate. Carly Rose Sonenclar is a robot. That’s what the other x factor contestants used to call her. And it wasn’t because she had a great voice. It was because she had no human feelings. She’s so stiff. Go on youtube and search x factor word association if you don’t believe me. Everyone was worried backstage that carly was being forced by her parents to sing. That’s what Demi Lovato eluded to in an interview with USA today. Carly was so stuck up in her interviews too. She should take a page out of Beatrice Miller’s book and be fun and nice and outgoing. BTW I am a 40 year old man and I spend all day looking for Carly rose articles cuz its totally normal for someone my age to like a 13 year old girl. What I can’t get over though is why carly is having a parade for herself?

The longer it takes for Carly to sign is actually a good sign, it means negotiations are happening. Carly does have an original song that she wrote and had completed recording prior to the show airing but wasnt able to release it because she made it on X Factor, so I imagine that complicates things a little. If the recording is complete and it’s ready to be released whoever signs her will have to decide I they want that song as part of the record and Carly and her family need to determine how much revenue from that song is shared with a label since its already complete. Artists, obviously, only get a percentage but in this case the only involvement the labe would have with that particular song is marketing it….again assuming its ready for release. I would also say, because of the very large fan base she has already just from the show, they’re not going to jump on the first contract that’s thrown in front of them. We just have to wait and see but absolutely 100% she will be signed.

Ha seems like she won’t be signed. It has been weeks since the finale and simon doesn’t even want to sign carly. Meanwhile E3 and 5H are working on their album. And carly may have the youtube views but the #1 act on the x factor was Tate. He’s the one who won. What is carly going to sing about? Playing with barbies? She’s too young to sing about adult feelings. Listen Carly set a price as much as you can pay. IT IS NOT THE COST OF A CONCERT. This is the best we can get until we get word of her being signed so we have to take what we can get. Hopefully a record producer will see how much her fans like her and will sign her. I still can’t believe the number one act of the season is waiting to be signed. Hopefully there is something going on in the background we don’t know about it, but the longer we don’t hear the worse it is sounding.

Carly is not paying for a Q and A. She’s performing with her brother and the questions are a bonus. Plus it said you could pay as much as you like, therefore you can’t use the excuse that you can’t afford it. Carly does not pretend to be a celebrity by charging hundreds for a ticket. I really don’t like Emblem3 and I’m not speaking in terms of who they are as people because I don’t know them, I’m not interested in their style of music which is pure pop, but I’ve never said one negative thing about them and never will. 5th Harmony is ok, again, their style isn’t necessarily my taste, but have enjoyed some of their songs, particularly Impossible during the X Factor judges houses, and again, have never said anything negative about them. One thing I will say, although they won’t admit it now because they’re on top of the world, they won’t be together for a real long time. There are two of them in that group that could be solo artists and once they gain some more popularity an agent or someone from another record lable will plant the seed and the group will eventually dissolve….it’s the nature of how those things typically go. Spending energy comparing her to others because of where she lives or because she doesn’t have a contract yet (which she obviously will soon) seems like a waste. The bottom line is the public pretty much says it all, regardless of contracts or winning the XFactor who’s had a bigger impact on the public and compiled a bigger fan base? Enough said.

Carly can afford to get her video produced she lives in Westchester AKA where rich people live. Carly can just ask her mom and dad to write out a check. I live in the Bronx and I voted for Diamond White because I actually believe her when she sings about love and loss. Carly is a bit more robotic and forces her emotions (broadway, acting) but I bet she’s never felt loss or heartbreak. Diamond has because her father isn’t in her life and her mother struggles with heaalth problems and financial hardship.

She’s just as interactive on her twitter account as the rest of the contestants….and moving forward, I guarantee you won’t see any “free” performances by 5th Harmony or Emblem3 unless someone records it and posts it. Carly is preparing for her career and money was spent to produce the video. Why don’t you, particularly Mary-Beth because all you do is spend energy trying to knock Carly down, spend your energy doing something positive like praising the singers you enjoy listening to. Don’t you teeny boppers have anything better to do?

Amazing…no matter what Carly does…there is always someone who gripes…jeez! In spite of this – just like the songs she sings – Carly just moves forward and does it her own way – reaching out to her fans and helping some very deserving children at the same time. What a class act! You go Carly! The haters? …well…you can just go…

I agree with Ed. I will pay to see her concerts, videos and her album. She is an amazing singer. I am a huge fan.
Ps nothing is ever free. Do you expect to go to her concerts for free and get her album for free too? Plus part is going to charity

Remember that she paid for studio time and the video crew & editors who produced her new video. It’s only fair that she have the opportunity to recoup those out of pocket costs for the video we all will enjoy. It’s great that she’s donating a portion of the proceeds to Starlight Foundation for kids. I’m happy to contribute and wish Carly all the best.

What are u guys talking about that she makes her fan pay for just to talk to her? It’s going to be a Live show so she and her brother will sing and of course answer fan questions. Nothing is free, I believe they have some expense too doing this show. If you are a real fan you should try to understand her.especially she didn’t win the 5 millions. I’m just one of her fan who can’t come to her show because I. Live. In another state but I will try to donate to her show so that she can give some of the benefits to the starlight foundation

She always talks to her fans on Twitter. Of course there’s no way to talk to everyone, on Twitter or in any other place (even in this site). Remember that everybody will be allowed to see what’s happening on the chat. The most important thing here is that she’ll help some ill kids, and I’m really glad we have someone who works to the charity. Nice idea from you, Carly.

I bought a ticket. I want to see if Carly really is awkward or if she has a personality cause we didn’t really get to see the real her on x factor we just watched her perform. The bonus is her brother.

Yea I don’t recall Arin Ray or 5th harmony or emblem 3 making fans pay just to talk to them. Bad PR move making your fans pay just to talk to you carly. What about those of us who can’t pay? Can you have a Q and A over your twitter? Your so closed off compared to the other x factor contestants.
