‘Mad Men’ season 6 preview: New photos show an unhappy Don Draper

‘Mad Men’ season 6 is coming back to AMC on April 7, so there’s only a few more months to wait until we get to see where Don Draper is at this point.

When we left Don in season 5, he was at odds with his ex-wife, Betty as she used their daughter to try and make his relationship with Megan fall to pieces.  He was also having a difficult time dealing with his current wife, Megan, as she moved forward into a successful acting career that he didn’t exactly support.  As if that wasn’t enough, Don was having a hard time with his daughter as she moved away from being his little girl into a smart, young woman.  In one of the new promotional photos released by AMC (these are not from any episode) we see just how unhappy Don is as the three most important women in his life surround him.  Betty and his daughter are distant from him as his wife Megan leans in and tries to reconnect with her husband.

Some of our other favorites are also front and center in these photos, letting fans know that they are for sure going to be back for “Mad Men” season 6.  Roger Sterling, Joan Harris (nee: Holloway), Harry Crane, Bertram Cooper and Ken Cosgrove all look happy as they enjoy the celebration – and why shouldn’t they be happy, SCDP is still going strong and hopefully this year will be their best yet!

One person who we hope is going to be front and center during “Mad Men” season 6 is Peggy Olson.  She left SCDP last season to go and work for the competitors after Don continuously pushed her down no matter how hard she worked.  We would love to see a battle between Peggy and Don coming up in the new season, mentor vs protegee.
