‘Saturday Night Live’ preview: Adam Levine, Bobby Moynihan spoof ‘The Voice’
Adam Levine has been a rock star, and a reality TV “coach,” and had his arm cut off by Bloody Face in “American Horror Story.” So what is next for him? Apparently, it is making an effort to be funny.
The Maroon 5 rocker is going to be hosting this weekend’s “Saturday Night Live” along with musical guest Kendrick Lamar, and while the first promo below does not really force him to do very much, it’s still delightfully funny. Adam first acts as though he wants to sleep with Bobby Moynihan, and the two then he also finds himself tied up in a swivel chair in order to take about how badly he wants Bobby on his team.
There may be one or two jokes too many about “The Voice” thrown in here, mostly because Jennifer Lawrence got by in her promo by only mentioning “The Hunger Games” once. With that being said, we admire Adam for even wanting to take on the gig of host to begin with. This is an incredibly risky thing to do, because bombing the show means that you are mocked for some time (just look at Lindsay Lohan’s show last year, or Lana Del Ray’s musical performance). Meanwhile, doing a great job in an unexpected role can propel your career to heights you never before imagined. For evidence of this just look at Justin Timberlake, whose career has been helped out enormously thanks to the show.
Check out the full video below, and we want to hear from you as to whether or not you think that Levine is going to be a great host for the show.
