‘Arrow’ episode 11 preview: Diggle vs. the list
Following the amazing arc at the end of the fall portion of “Arrow’s” season featuring the Huntress, it is fair to say that we are feeling a little bit greedy at the moment for more serialized fare. However, at the moment the adventures of Oliver Queen are going to be stuck with something that will be a little more episodic for the time being.
Take for instance the latest promo released by The CW for Wednesday’s episode, which features one of the biggest conflicts yet between Oliver and Diggle over someone on the list. Why? The man in which he is trying to take down is someone that also just so happened to be Diggle’s commanding officer while in Afghanistan. Suffice it to say, he is going to have no interest at all in taking down someone who he believes to be a good man, even though the status on the list suggests otherwise.
The tension that rises between the two parties is not only going to lead to heated confrontation, but by the end of this Oliver and Dig are actually going to have some weapons pointed at each other. Will they actually shoot? Doubtful, but this is going to be a mission where the Arrow is going to have to do some serious convincing in order for Diggle to understand why this man has to be taken down.
While this episode does not appear to be as closely tied to the DC Universe as what we saw last week Firefly or what is coming up with “Count Vertigo” (or at least the show’s version of him); nonetheless, we’re sure that the writers will continue to capture the spirit of the comics as well as ever.
