‘Game of Thrones’ season 3 spoilers: Take a look at Mance Rayder, new faces

HBO must be feeling rather generous at the moment when it comes to handing out teasers for their upcoming third season of “Game of Thrones.” Only a matter of days after the network was kind enough to share some new footage pertaining to the show’s set and writing process, we now have a video that actually lifts the veil on some of the new characters gracing the show for the first time.

For fans of the George R.R. Martin books, we have a feeling that the two characters from the video that will strike a chord almost immediately with the diehard fanbase are none other Mance Rayder (Cirian Hinds) and Olenna Tyrell (the legendary Diana Rigg). Hinds in particular has a line about how he anticipates fans of the show are going to find some much to appreciate here in between the “drama” and the “butchery.”

In addition to these new faces, we also have a number of the show’s other actors speaking out in the video about their roles, including Peter Dinklage, Emila Clarke, Richard Madden, and others. Perhaps the most important quotes come from showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, as they once again promise that this is the season that the series has been building to for some time, and a number of the events that transpire here are the end result of over twenty episodes that have picked up momentum as time goes by.

It may still feel like a long time away still, but March 31 is proving thus far to be very much worth the wait; plus, we have a feeling that HBO is going to continue tantalizing us with some more video content every step of the way.
