ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 2, episode 11 review: The trust games
Last week on “Revenge” season 2, we saw the beginnings of some interesting storylines for the remainder of season 2 as Emily inched closer to Daniel Grayson and Jack found himself behind bars courtesy of a set-up.
So how do you move these stories forward? It’s a little bit trickier than it sounds when you consider just how complicated life in the Hamptons can really be. For one, Aiden is in the middle of an elaborate plan at the moment now to earn Helen’s trust as a part of a convoluted Initiative plot (one that admittedly still does not hold that much attention from this end compared to some of the other stories that the show has going on). In the end, though, this was what Emily was largely involved with this week, as she helped create the ruse to make it appear that Helen has a series reason to trust Barry Sloane’s character.
As for Nolan, he really had one of the more intriguing storylines this week as he tried to figure out some trust issues of his own; specifically, he tried to figure out whether or not it was Marco or Padma that was leaking information from inside his walls to Conrad. Suffice it to say, Nolan’s not particularly correct in his assumptions here. It is Padma who is making the calls to Helen, and this is going to create some serious issues for him later on.
As for Jack and Amanda, the only thing we really took from it this week is that Amanda is making some major mistakes in getting involved with the Graysons, and that Declan has no interest at all in staying with Charlotte despite her offer. (After all, is that place really any safer than anywhere else in the world?)
