‘Big Brother 15’ to premiere two weeks earlier than usual, will be ‘expanded’
Are we going to have the best season of “Big Brother” ever this summer? That much is unclear, but what we can at least say right now is that CBS is giving the show a little bit extra time to shine this summer, which probably means that there will be even more torture for the houseguests all year long.
During their presentation at TCA on Saturday, the network presented a full list of their upcoming summer premiere dates, with this hit franchise being among the highlights. “Big Brother 15” will premiere of Wednesday, June 26 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern, and is going to be a part of a move for the series. New episodes will now air on Tuesday and Wednesdays at this time rather than Wednesdays and Thursdays, and the Sunday at 8:00 p.m. airing will be intact. It’s not entirely clear why the network has made this move, especially since none of their new series seem to be launching after the hit comedy block (which will still air in repeats) all summer.
As for the reason for the two extra weeks, we’re hoping that this is going to lead to either just a larger cast of newbies or potentially a new all-stars season, as season 7 was the last time the show had one of all returning players.
As for some of the other shows that are a part of CBS’ summer schedule, their adaptation of Stephen King’s “Under the Dome” will air beginning on Monday, June 24 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern. Meanwhile, “Unforgettable” season 2 will star up on July 26 at 9:00. Ultimately, we’re glad to see that they are making more of an effort with scripted fare this summer, especially since most of their non-“Big Brother” programming last year flopped.

Im really hoping its a large group of newbies cause were due for an all newbie season since season 12 was the last group of newbie season. I really hope they don’t do a mix of vets and newbies again cause we have seen that the last 2 years and its time for a change. Another all star season would be great, but they should wait for BB 16 or BB 17 to do that. Its probably longer cause its the 15th anniversary of the show so maybe they will do something special.
