‘American Horror Story’: Jessica Lange excited for season 3
Jessica Lange has been a staple throughout Ryan Murphy’s hit FX series “American Horror Story”, playing a eccentric neighbor in the first season and a tormented nun looking for redemption in the second season, so we are crazy curious to know what Murphy has planned for her in the third season.
In the last episode of “American Horror Story: Asylum” Murphy said that there would be a hint as to what the third season would be about and what stood out to us (as well as many others) was the use of the song lyrics “I Put A Spell On You” by Sister Mary Eunice. The lyrics didn’t really fit in with the story of this season since there is nothing revolving around magic or witches, so we are thinking that season three might have something to do with the Salem witch hunt – maybe Lange will be playing a witch?
In a new interview with the ladies from “The View” Lange said that while it’s confirmed that season 3 of “American Horror Story” will definitely be happening, she is unsure as to what her role will be on the show. She said:
“[Murphy] talks in broad strokes about what it’s going to be, or what the area… you know in the first season really what he wanted to deal with was infidelity, that was a broad subject for him to cover in that. In this one it really had a lot to do with the idea of madness, faith, the loss of faith, so I’m sure he’ll come up with something, I’m not sure what it is yet”
The one thing we found really interesting about the interview is that Lange said that she hasn’t watched this season of “American Horror Story” (she didn’t say why she hasn’t).
