‘The Bachelor’ premiere: Why is Sean Lowe thanking Emily Maynard?
We are now just mere hours away from the start of “The Bachelor” featuring Sean Lowe, and this really just means one thing above all else: seeing whether or not a man can find love on reality TV and have it last. The track record for this show is even worse than “The Bachelorette,” with Jason Mesnick the only married man out of the bunch when it comes to a contestant on the show (and she was not even the one that he initially picked).
So why does Sean think he has a good chance of making this experience work for him? Surprisingly, he is actually thanking recent “Bachelorette” Emily Maynard for putting him in the right position to do this show. Speaking in a new interview with “Access Hollywood” prior to the premiere, he explained that without being around her, he may not have known just what he was looking for in a woman and future wife:
“I was absolutely heartbroken and I didn’t see it coming. So it was shocking, and then I dealt with heartbreak and I think it was good. It was healthy for me … I think I’m over Emily and now I see that she’s not the one for me.”
“[I know through this that the right girl] just has to have a genuine, sweet, caring, heart and then outside of that she needs to be intelligent. And funny is always a plus.”
Emily ultimately should take these sort of comments as the ultimate compliment, since Sean obviously thought highly of her despite her picking Jef Holm and Arie Luyendyk Jr. as her final two and kicking Sean to the curb. She and Jef have now gone their separate ways, but Sean still has a chance of finding love for himself.
