New tonight: ‘The Biggest Loser,’ ‘Once Upon a Time,’ ‘Family Guy’ return
Fans of network TV everywhere, rejoice: many of the shows that you know and love are going to be back for more on Sunday night. We have the return of a reality TV sensation, some more fairytale drama, and of course animated comedy. In addition to that, a famous British import is finally making its way back to America now for more.
ABC’s lineup – For the first time since the end of November, the Alphabet is actually airing a lineup of all-new programming in between “Once Upon a Time,” “Revenge,” “Happy Endings,” and “Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23.” In case you’re wondering why the two comedies are airing there, it’s because the network decided that they wanted to give them some additional sampling rather than the low-rated “666 Park Avenue” (which has been pushed to summer).
Some of CBS – Both “The Good Wife” and “The Mentalist” return this week with new episodes, even though the return of “The Amazing Race” is not going to happen for another month or so.
All of Fox – Ready for some more animation domination? The network’s comedy lineup is going to be back, though you should prepare for a long football runoff since that always seems to happen these days.
“The Biggest Loser” returns (NBC) – The network is getting back into business with Jillian Michaels this season, and the show is airing this two-hour episode at a special time before heading to Monday nights starting tomorrow.
Finally, “Downton Abbey” (PBS) – The British period drama is back for its own third season, and there is plenty of interesting storylines coming here in between the arrival of Martha (Shirley MacLaine) to a wedding. If you want some hints about what to expect, you can find them over at the link here.
