‘Anger Management’ season 2: Charlie Sheen, Selma Blair go glam in new photos

The second season of “Anger Management” is premiering on FX later this month, and the network is already getting prepared for the big launch by releasing something a little bit different from the show: some very glamorous promotional photos featuring Charlie Sheen, Selma Blair, and many other members of the cast.

There are a number of things worthy pointing out here with these photos just from a superficial perspective. For one, who convinced Charlie and executive producer Bruce Helford to give the cast such a unique and different feel? It almost helps to distract from some of the show’s pitfalls during the first season, and sets the bar high for there to be even more comedy coming up moving forward.

After all, there are some major changes in the works for season 2: for one, Charlie’s father Martin Sheen is now a regular as Charlie Goodson’s father Martin, who has moved close to his son in an effort to spend a little bit more time with him late in his life. Considering Martin’s acting chops, we have to think that he is going to elevate the work of everyone around him.

In addition to that, there is also a pretty interesting makeover for Shawnee Smith’s character of Charlie’s ex: she is now a blonde! We don’t know if this move was just to make the photo extra-glamorous, but it does help on a basic level to differentiate her from Blair’s Kate, and add a bit of dimension to a show in general where the vast majority of the women are brunettes.
