‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 4: How Candice Accola is spending winter vacation

As you may have known from some of our other “Vampire Diaries” reports as of late, some stars of the hit CW show are choosing to do a good bit of traveling around the globe during their time off over the course of the past week or so. Take, for example, how Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev rang in the New Year in Thailand not long after taking in some of the sights in Shanghai.

So what about one of the other major stars of the hit show? When it comes to the woman behind Caroline in Candice Accola, she has opted to spend much of her time celebrating 2013 stateside. After working for much of the fall in Atlanta and being in Nashville on New Year’s Eve, she has since traveled over to the Crested Butte region in the Rocky Mountains, one of the premier locations for skiing in all of America. We don’t know for sure if Accola is hitting the slopes, but this is certainly a nice way to relax as a means of getting in some winter activity before being back around Mystic Falls for several more months.

As for what is coming up moving forward for Accola’s Caroline, expect to see the romance with Tyler potentially pick back up now that Klaus has had his reign of terror; in addition to that, her friendship with Stefan may continue to blossom, and, much to her chagrin, Klaus will still not be going away. The show returns on January 17, and we will of course have plenty more coverage before that time.
