New tonight: ‘American Horror Story’ returns, ‘Nashville’ looks back, more ‘Top Chef’
Now that we are beyond New Year’s Day and into 2013, there is some great news for anyone out there who is a major TV fan: there is some new programming across multiple networks again for the first time really since the Christmas holiday.
So what should you be aware of? This is what we’ve composed this handy list for, since we know it can be so hard to keep track of just everything that is coming back, and what shows are still playing away in repeats.
“American Horror Story” returns – The final few weeks of Ryan Murphy’s scary production are set to air on FX beginning at 10:00 p.m. Eastern, and hopefully we will have some of our biggest questions answered, including whether or not Lana is ever going to get free or if Kit will be vindicated after being accused of being Bloody Face.
NBC’s entire lineup – You may have to wait for weeks or months for some other networks to be back, but the Peacock is rolling out new “Whitney,” “Guys with Kids,” “Law & Order: SVU,” and “Chicago Fire” for your viewing pleasure.
Take a look back at “Nashville” – For those of you wanting to catch up on this at-times brilliant ABC show, now’s your chance to do so. This is the only “new” program airing on ABC tonight, and it is just repurposed highlights from past weeks.
“Mobbed” for two hours – Just in case you’re really desperate to spend 120 minutes of your life watching something that is funny for about thirty seconds.
“Top Chef” keeps on going – The only new show to really plug along during the holiday season will have another round of culinary competition on Bravo. Let’s just hope that it remains as entertaining as it has been the past few weeks (which implies that we need Stefan to keep yelling at people).
