‘New Year’s Rockin’ Eve’: Ryan Seacrest talks hosting show without Dick Clark
If you are like us, then you have probably spent much of the past several days sitting around and waiting for some new television to actually air. After all, the only network over the past several days that has really bothered to air anything new at all thanks to the Christmas holiday is Bravo, and there is only so much programming that they can offer you at any given time.
Luckily, New Year’s Eve is vastly approaching, and with that in mind, we have a rather welcome gift to share: the latest edition of “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest” on Monday night. Even though Clark is gone, his name is still in the title, and this is something that Seacrest himself explains in the video below via “Good Morning America.”
If you are unable to go out and party with your friends this December 31, there really is no better place you there for you to enjoy a little bit of the holiday spirit. Seacrest and the kissmaster general Jenny McCarthy will once again be in Times Square, where they will be honoring Clark’s legacy while featuring a performance by pop / country superstar Taylor Swift (who may have broken up with Harry Styles and written a song about it by the time this performance happens). While this is happening, Fergie will be hosting the show on the West Coast, where Pitbull will be one of the performances helping to party (or, to quote his recent song, “Don’t Stop the Party”) leading into 2013.
Are you planning to check out the show this year?
