‘Burn Notice’ season 7 spoilers: Is the end near? (video)
There’s something very ominous about watching the first teaser video for “Burn Notice” season 7 released by USA: while it makes no sort of advertisement that the upcoming handful of episodes will be the last for the long-running action season, it does ask the question of “is this the end?” while splicing together some footage from the recent season finale.
In all honesty, we will probably not know the show’s fate beyond this coming season premiering this summer for quite some time, but it is pretty clear at the moment that the network is definitely plotting out its endgame. After spending so long having Michael Westen trying to battle the CIA over burning him and turning him into a spy on the run, he seems to have done the unthinkable and is donning a business suit again. Does this mean the end of his ragtag gang of problem-solvers for the time being? This is a worthy question, since we don’t know how if Michael has joined the CIA they are going to want him using a team that does not fall under the label of “their people.”
No matter what direction the show goes in moving forward, we anticipate it being pretty exciting so long as there is more of what creator Matt Nix had the opportunity to do in season 6, which was arguably the show’s best by a mile: thanks to the show becoming more serialized rather than episodic, we had an actual opportunity to get to know some of the people Michael was fighting, and it made the struggle that much more compelling.
What do you want to see happen on season 7 of the show, and do you think that it should be the last? We want to hear some more of your thoughts below, and you can also go back and read our full review of the finale over here.

For some reason, I thought Michael was going to tell Fiona that he was never burned- meaning the whole reason for the show was to go after Reilly…

I’ve often wondered how Horatio Caine and his team would have processed the crime scenes that Michael and his team leave behind (because in prior seasons follow-up investigations were never mentioned). I know in the “Best Laid Plans” episode Fi acknowledged the cancelation of Miami, CSI when she said, “Thank you, Miami CSI, for being out to lunch.” But I think it would be a hoot to have H show up at a BN crime scene and make one of his trademark comments to Michael while putting on his sunglasses. Even though BN has become a darker show, there’s still a little room for camp.

I just want Fi and Michael to finally commit fully to each other, not necessarily married but maybe choosing to walk away together. Then if you have a movie or TV movie, it can be about Fi and Michael getting back with sam and jesse for 1 last job, or one majorly important one.
