‘Once Upon a Time’ season 2: What characters are in the most demand?
At this point typically on a Sunday, we would spend most of our time here talking about just what happened following a new episode of “Once Upon a Time” season 2. However, on this occasion we are going something else entirely: chatting it up about what characters we would be more than a little bit excited to see turn up either in the fairy tale world or Storybrooke by the end of the year.
We are not necessarily looking in this article to just draw names out of a hat when it comes to some of the people we want to see; rather, our goal is a little bit more simple: try and point out just what characters that have already been long-discussed will make the most sense to turn up by the end of the season.
3. The Little Mermaid – Give all the new characters who are already showing up in some shape or form, this one seems at least to be the most remote possibility at the moment of our three. However, this has been a role that fans have been clamoring to see for over a year now, and we have to believe that producers are hearing their calls.
Unfortunately, there are a number of issues that make this role in particular difficult, with the primary one being budget. It would not be easy to make a character’s story largely underwater, and have it look at least anything other than cheesy with the TV medium’s limitations. There’s also finding the right person for the part.
2. Alice in Wonderland – There have long been theories that maybe we have already met Alice, with one of our personal beliefs being that Emma in some way followed someone (in Henry) into a mysterious new world with new and interesting characters. However, we have already ready from showrunners Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis that Henry does not have a fairytale counterpart, so this would be strictly metaphorical at best.
If there is a real Alice out there, her story would fit in well given that we already know both the Queen of Hearts (in Cora) along with the Mad Hatter otherwise known as Jefferson.
1. Peter Pan – How can you have Hook without Pan? Kitsis and Horowitz have already said that we won’t be meeting Pan this season, but the demand is clearly still there given the character’s popularity. The reason this is probably being saved is merely so that we can focus for a time on what is going on with Rumpelstiltskin, and then have Hook maybe explore this part of his past more in a future season.
What fairy-tale character do you want to turn up on this show the most? If you want to read more as to when some popular “Once Upon a Time” characters (including August and Prince Phillip) could return this season, all you have to do is head on over to the link here.

Wouldn’t it be great if Henry’s father was Mr Gold’s son?
