‘American Idol’ notes: Adam Lambert’s Christmas gift; Scotty McCreery TV spots
Do you want to get ready for Christmas with a little bit of dance music? If so, then you have a rather awesome opportunity to do so courtesy of Adam Lambert.
On Saturday night, the “American Idol” season 8 star shared a link where you can get a pair of WAWA remixes for the title track to his new album “Trespassing.” The beat is relatively similar in each of them, but one of them includes a rap verse along with some distorted vocals. It’s not very often you get some sort of non-holiday music to listen to around this time, so be sure to download it (which you can do for free) and enjoy. After all, you still have the rest of the day if you celebrate Christmas to drink your eggnog and sing carols with your family.
Now, let’s transition from some dance music to some actual Christmas music…
A pair of Scotty McCreery performances – Christmas music have become fairly synonymous with “American Idol” over the years, since everyone wants to hear their favorite carols performed by some of the best vocalists out there. When it comes to country music, the season 10 champ is certainly at the top of the list.
The first performance is from CMA Country Christmas (which aired earlier this past week on ABC), and it is of the classic “Winter Wonderland.” Meanwhile, the latter video is from TNT’s “Christmas in Washington” (via Mjsbigblog), and it is of one of the strongest songs off his “Christmas with Scotty McCreery” in “Santa Claus is Back in Town.” Of course, you are probably going to spend the first few seconds of this video laughing at Conan O’Brien’s introduction.
