‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 4 spoilers: Joseph Morgan teases way to stop Klaus
Are we going to see the end of Klaus on “The Vampire Diaries” season 4? As strange as it may sound, this is a question we really find that the show could ask itself at the end of every episode. At first, Joseph Morgan’s character was not meant to last as long as he has, but his performance couple with a strong audience reaction has rendered that possible. However, you do have to wonder if an end date will ever come up, in particular since Klaus’ presence is more or less keeping another popular character (in Katherine) away from Mystic Falls.
We have learned that there are physical ways in which the characters on the CW series can kill the Klaus, but as Morgan tells TV Guide in a new interview, what really needs to be done in order to stop him may be an emotional and psychological challenge more than anything else:
“Our heroes are at odds with each other. If they could unite themselves like they did at the end of Season 3, maybe they would have a chance [at killing Klaus]. But as long as he can keep manipulating and planting doubt in their minds, they won’t be able to come together and defeat him. It’s like lining up chess pieces on a board — everyone is playing against each other and everyone’s arguing!”
With this in mind, Morgan says to not expect any sort of major rampages from his character following the show’s return on January 17 on par with what he did to Tyler’s mother and many hybrids; after all, he has no need to with all of the friction that is already transpiring across the board with the “good” characters, and he can focus instead on trying to get all of the Originals to work together. After all, Rebekah is going to be returning soon.
