‘The New Normal’ spoilers: More details on ‘White Collar’ star Matt Bomer’s gig
Do you want to know a little bit more about what Matt Bomer is going to be doing on “The New Normal” moving forward? Luckily, we have some of those details for you now courtesy of the actor’s appearance in the upcoming January 8 episode entitled “The Goldie Rush,” which features our two main characters in David and Bryan playing a little bit of matchmaker.
NBC has released the official synopsis for the episode below, and it suggests that a risk taken by these two main characters may not necessary lead to the reward they were looking for, as the “White Collar” star’s character may make a move to try and snatch their own surrogate mom away:
“Bryan (Andrew Rannells) and David (Justin Bartha) discuss their future and how big they want to grow their family. The conversation leads them back to Expanding Families where Gary (guest-star Michael Hitchcock) reveals that he wants a family of his own but he can’t seem to find the right guy. Bryan and David play matchmakers and set him up with Bryan’s ex-boyfriend and legendary party boy Monty (guest star Matt Bomer, ‘White Collar’), but their plan leads to more than they bargained for when Monty asks Goldie (Georgia King) to be his surrogate. Elsewhere, Rocky (NeNe Leakes) and Jane (Ellen Barkin) help Shania (Bebe Wood) deal with some mean girls.”
This episode gives us a little bit more of an opportunity to see Jane work alongside a character that she does not have much in common with. The last we saw of this during the show’s Christmas episode, it created some wonderful comedy as we saw her and Bryan try and function in an “Odd Couple” sort of environment at a party.
Are you excited to see what Bomer brings to the table during this episode? If you want to check out some more guest casting coming up on “The New Normal,” all you have to do is make sure you read the story that is online over at the link here.
