TNT’s ‘Dallas’ season 2: The best holiday promo ever

Just in case you are not in the holiday spirit already … well, this new promo for “Dallas” season 2 may not completely do the trick, either. Instead, what you have the opportunity to see here can really only be described as a series of very emphatic slaps to the face from some of the famous members of the Ewing family.

If you only watched the first few seconds of this clip (which you can see below), you would probably think that this is going to just be yet another one of those classic holiday teasers that features a number of characters wishing peace, love, and other sorts of merriment all of each other. However, it becomes pretty clear the longer that you watch this that there is going to be a completely different sort of ending in mind here.

If you love watching random characters getting punched (and also being cursed at), this video is definitely for you. Basically, this is the holidays as the Ewings celebrate them: with swear words, violence, threats, and all other sorts of soapy goodness. We really admire what TNT is doing with the promotional strategy for the show thus far: it would have been very easy to turn all of their promos into heartfelt tributes for the great Larry Hagman, but we have a feeling that this is not something that even he would have wanted. Instead, what we have are fitting tributes (one right after the other) to a character who is far more of a villain at this point than anything else, even if he is a villain we love to watch.
