‘Big Brother Canada’: How is Dan Gheesling involved in new promo?

We first talked about a new promo for “Big Brother Canada” earlier in the week featuring Dr. Will Kirby and Mike “Boogie” Malin doing one of their classic phone calls, and now we have one that actually addresses something that has haunted many fans for the past several months: the endless debate as to whether or not Dr. Will is a better player than Dan Gheesling. This debate existed even before season 14 started, but Dan’s crazy gameplay (which included holding his own funeral and convincing Danielle to keep her own showmance partner on the block) has led to this becoming the “chicken or the egg” conversation that keeps all fans of the show up and night.

If nothing else, the new promo decides to have a little bit of fun with the debate. Boogie starts out the clip by saying that he is joined by the best player in “Big Brother” history. Dr. Will walks out, and then says a very funny line about whether or not anyone was expecting Dan to show up instead.

We’ve wondered for some time whether or not it eats at Dr. Will that someone is now possibly sharing the “Best Player Ever” title with him, but overall he doesn’t seem to care too much. This is bad news for some of us who are desperate to see him back in the house again at some point, but good news for him since it proves he has a number of other things to worry about.

The only thing that would be more awesome than this clip would be one actually featuring Dan (who, by the way, won our award for Best Reality Star of 2012), but we can’t be too greedy here, can we? “Big Brother Canada” premieres on Slice February 27, so hopefully there will be some more great contestants north of the border, as well.
