‘Once Upon a Time’ season 2 spoilers: Rose McGowan signs up, we cheer
We are not entirely sure how “Once Upon a Time” managed to pull this off, but we have a feeling a number of Rose McGowan fans are cheering very loudly at this given moment.
According to a brand-new report from Deadline, the former star of “Charmed” (who has only made sporadic appearances on TV in the years since) has been tapped to appear on an upcoming season 2 episode of the ABC show as a younger version of Barbara Hershey’s character of Cora. It’s not entirely clear just yet as to why we are going to be getting a dose of the character’s face, but this should be yet another exciting treat for fans.
Of course, the one negative to this casting is merely that it does not really provide many opportunities for McGowan to come back on a regular capacity, mostly because it is not like she will be playing some character who will be floating around in Storybrooke somewhere. (We are saying this while begging Amy Acker to return.) Then again, there is also a part of us secretly hoping that Cora drinks some magic potion to make her younger, and thus we get to see McGowan for a while. Since that’s not really likely to happen, let’s just enjoy this fun little guest spot while it lasts, shall we?
