‘Hawaii Five-0’ season 3, episode 11 preview: Ready to see George Takei?
Just like much of the rest of CBS’ Monday-night lineup, “Hawaii Five-0” is going to be celebrating Christmas in its own unique way. Of course, when it comes to the likes of this show, it means getting a Hawaiian Christmas special complete with sunny skies, a case to solve, and moonshine. Yes, you read that right: moonshine is going to play a very integral role.
So who is going to be the distributor here? It is none other than George Takei, who is playing the role of the uncle to Daniel Dae Kim’s character of Chin Ho Kelly. It’s to be seen just what sort of role he will precisely have to play in the context of the story, but it already looks as though he will be a source of humor (which we always appreciate).
Considering that this is a Christmas episode, we expect there to be a great deal of humor and nothing that is necessarily too serious. In addition to that, we also expect there to be a number of warm-hearted moments among the characters. At the end of the day, that is about what Christmas on TV is about: people coming together and celebrating as some sort of pseudo-family. Sometimes, even this family includes people who sell moonshine. It’s interesting that Takei is bring billed so prominently thanks to “Star Trek,” mostly in that he has also played a plethora of other roles over the course of the past several years beyond just the famous Sulu.
Are you excited to see what Takei ends up bringing to the show? Be sure to share some more of your thoughts below! If you want to check out some more of the latest “Hawaii Five-0” season 3 casting news, be sure to head on over to the link here.
