‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 9 spoilers: Chandra Wilson still hopeful on Bailey and Ben

If you were worried about the wedding on “Grey’s Anatomy” season 9 never happening now after Bailey made the decision to help out Adele Webber rather than head down the aisle with Ben, these concerns may be a little bit premature … at least based on what the actress responsible for playing her is saying now.

Speaking as a part of a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter following the episode, Chandra Wilson did her best to give a little bit of hope for those aggravated over the fact that once again, Bailey chose to put her work over a man … even if this was a situation that involved someone that she was close to. She said that executive producer Shonda Rhimes has been wanting a winter-themed wedding for the character, and that has not really changed now even though our character has already pushed the date back once.

Wilson also explains how there was no question that Bailey would have made any other move rather than to help Adele out, even though there are still insecurities in her mind stemming from her first marriage:

“There was no way that Bailey was going to leave that situation and not do everything that she could for Adele … That was also a scary part for Bailey because she wasn’t choosing not to get married in that moment but she had to stay where she was needed, so how can you ask somebody to be understanding about something like that over and over again? That gets to the core of what her problem is and what her ambivalence is because that so affected her first marriage.”

Hopefully, this will be one of the many stories that is addressed not long after “Grey’s Anatomy” returns on January 10, including the state of Cristina and Owen’s relationship now and if Derek is really back to 100% after surgery.
