TNT’s ‘Dallas’ season 2 spoilers: Larry Hagman smiles in first promo
TNT has obviously made a calculated decision when it comes to promoting their second season of “Dallas”: while they are going to keep the memory of Larry Hagman in mind, they are not going to make their promotional efforts for season 2 of the show all about the actor’s tragic death over Thanksgiving weekend.
Instead, the promo below promises a plethora of the same sort of drama from the Ewing family that you would expect; as a matter of fact, Hagman’s J.R. is shown briefly sporting both his famous cowboy hat along with a rather evil grin on his face.
What is going to happen during the season, save for some teases of drama and seduction, is still a little bit of a mystery. When you have a show so serialized like this, there will be a little bit more of an emphasis placed on trying to make sure that no spoilers end up making it to the press. After all, the whole story of the show is then ruined. What we can tell you for the time being is relatively simple: there will be a funeral for J.R. airing on March 11, and producers are still in talks with several stars of the original “Dallas” series about reprising their roles on the show in order to pay proper tribute to the most-famous character of the entire franchise. Nothing is confirmed yet, though, and we should have more on this subject in the coming weeks as information starts to trickle in with a little bit more frequency .
