‘How I Met Your Mother’ season 8, episode 11 preview: Seth Green is a creepy man

Who knew that Seth Green could double on “How I Met Your Mother” season 8 for a villain in a slasher film? We hardly think that his intentions are even remotely that sinister, but the last sneak peek from Monday night’s hour-long “The Final Page” episode does suggest that he is going to do an excellent job of unintentionally freaking out Jason Segel and his former co-star Alyson Hannigan’s characters of Marshall and Lily.

As the latest sneak peek below (via SpoilerTV) shows off perfectly, Green’s character, who is a former “friend” of the couple from college who apparently loved them far more than the other way around, chooses to show off perfectly just how devoted that he has been to the two of them over the years. Unfortunately for Marshall and Lily, this means being subjected to all sorts of crazy things that lie in the guy’s basement.

We don’t know how these two are going to get out of here, but this story may be something more than just a silly subplot. After all, there’s no real other explanation as to why Barney would be there, since he has so many other things to do courtesy of his new relationship with Patrice (which could be moving forward to the next level unless Robin finds a way to step in).
