‘Two and a Half Men’ season 10, episode 11 review: Did Walden keep up the act?
The story of Walden Schmidt on “Two and a Half Men” has been a strange one, but there has been something rather fun about his latest exploits on the show. Is pretending to be a poor person to get a girl strange and somewhat cruel? Yeah, but it is nice to see his character in a little bit more of a vulnerable spot.
The funny thing here is that despite not really having any money as his alter ego Sam, his relationship with Kate (Brooke D’Orsay) was actually one of the best ones he’s had since joining the show. Random note: did you know that the “Royal Pains” actress was on the show five years ago in a different role? As great as Walden’s relationship was here, it was all a farce given that he was pretending to be someone he was not in order to have a woman love him for him, and not the paycheck he receives regularly.
“Walden” landed a job this week selling Christmas trees in order to make a living for his new life, but the massive irony here was that he was closing a deal at the same time with Mark Zuckerberg in his latest company … for $1.2 billion. We have no idea where this story is going to go, but Kate has to find out about his secret eventually; and considering that Brooke has another job on USA, it’s not likely she will be around forever.
Do you like where the show is going right now with Walden, or is the fact that he is lying destroying the essence of what is good about his relationship? If you want to see what else “Two and a Half Men” creator Chuck Lorre is getting set to develop at this very moment, be sure to head on over to the link here.
