‘Britain’s Got Talent’ to retain Simon Cowell, David Williams, and Ant & Dec
With all of the change that is continually going on when it comes to judges on singing competitions, it is nice to see something actually stay constant for a change. In a press release on Thursday, it was revealed that the entire panel on “Britain’s Got Talent” (in Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon, and Amanda Holden) would be back for another season. Not only that, but they will be joined in the new year once again by memorable hosts Ant & Dec. This news comes on the heels of what was one of the series’ most-successful years ever, as it saw the likes of Ashleigh & Pudsey being declared victorious much to the joy of famed dog lover Cowell.
In a statement, here is what Simon had to say about coming back and enjoying his role for a little while longer:
“I loved doing the show … the new panel worked really well, and I’m very happy they have all agreed to come back … I hope that in 2013, off the back of an amazing year for Britain, we find another global star.”
Simon will begin helping to audition prospective contestants in Britain early next year, not long after he finishes his run on “The X Factor” in America. With the schedules for these two shows scattered as much as they are, there is actually not that much time Cowell has off away from television. He is staying on “Britain’s Got Talent” to keep the ratings up; and while there has been occasionally talk about him return to his post on the British “X Factor,” that still seems to be unlikely given that it may be an example of him biting off more than he can chew.
Are you excited to see Cowell back?
