‘Game of Thrones’ season 3 spoilers: Emilia Clarke has (more) company
Considering that “Game of Thrones” season 3 is already releasing bits and pieces of footage and that filming is already complete, you would think that there would not be much in the way of casting information that was still uncovered.
However, we are somehow still finding out new information about some guest stars who will be stopping by for smaller parts over the course of the year. This latest bit of information comes to us courtesy of Winter Is Coming, who claims that English actor Mark Killeen (who has appeared in everything from “The Dark Knight Rises” to “Doctor Who”) will be stopping by in the eighth episode of the upcoming season as Mero, a man who helps to run a company of sellswords known as the Second Sons. This will be part of the Daenerys Targeryan story, which was filmed in part in Morocco during the month of October.
There is likely now going to be a bit of a wait until we see too much more in the way of new footage from season 3. We would be stunned to see an official trailer released later this month unless HBO is really in the spirit of giving. Instead, we assume that they would want to launch a clip next month around the premiere of “Girls” season 2, that way they can try to drive viewership not only to their network, but to some of their other shows, as well. “Game of Thrones” is one of their most-successful franchises, with more than ten million viewers watching new episodes weekly across a variety of formats.
What do you think about this casting? If you want to catch a very-brief glimpse of Emilia Clarke’s character for season 3, you can see her in the video over at this link here.
