‘Homeland’ season 2, episode 11 preview: The hunt for Abu Nazir
If you are like us, then you may be reeling from what has to be one of the strongest episodes of “Homeland” ever, and are curious as to the answer to one key question: what happens next? (Warning: Spoilers ahead for those of you who have yet to watch Sunday night’s new episode.)
The last we saw of Carrie, she was running back into Abu Nazir’s compound with one primary goal in mind: killing the man who tied her up and forced Brody into killing the Vice-President in order to save her life. However, the first promo for Sunday night’s new “The Motherf–ker in a Turban” suggests that Nazir somehow managed to make his escape. Carrie is accompanied by all sorts of CIA, FBI, and local police forces in the search, but no one has managed to find him just yet. With that being said, we do hold firmly on to the belief that Nazir knows he is not going to leave America alive, and it is a matter of when, not if, he is captured and killed.
So where does Brody fit in with this? Save for some conversations between him and Carrie, we still do not know. As for Saul, he is finally going to learn the truth about why Quinn is working on an intelligence case, but he is probably going to be placed in such a position where he can do absolutely nothing about it. Brody may be proving to be an asset now, but the agency plans on making him into a martyr before all of this is over.
After last night’s mesmerizing episode, how excited are you to see what happens next? If you want to go back and read our full review from the hour, you can do so over at the link here.
