‘Game of Thrones’ season 3 spoilers: Emilia Clarke, cast featured in new video
While the new production video for “Game of Thrones” season 3 that aired Sunday night did not necessarily provide the glimpse into the new characters that initial reports were suggesting (at least save from a passing glance), there is still quite a bit to be excited about here.
You can check out the two-minute clip below, and it really packs it all in: settings, costumes, action, and interviews with all sorts of familiar faces. Just some of the actors who appear here include the likes of Emilia Clarke (Dany), Richard Madden (Robb), and Peter Dinklage (Tyrion); meanwhile, we also have some footage narrated by some of the showrunners and crew members responsible for making this show a success.
If there is only one downside to this clip, it is that most of the content here is of things we already know, whether it be the four countries the show was filmed in (Northern Ireland, Iceland, Morocco, and Croatia) or that the action was yet again going to be ratcheted up another level. This is the season that production has been waiting to get to, mostly because A Storm of Swords is really the George R.R. Martin book where much of his most-exciting content takes place. What will we see unfold here? The answer here really is quite a bit, but we find it better not to go too in-depth for the sake of those of you who want to remain surprised.
For now, just watch the video, smile at the lush landscapes, and know that the potential is here for this show to have its strongest season yet if it lives up to the hype.
What do you think about this video? As always, we want to hear your thoughts below! In addition to that, you can also read some scoop pertaining to the languages in Westeros this coming season here.
